This pattern uses foundation double crochet stitches for a stretchier, more elastic brim. If you prefer, you can chain (the number of fdc listed plus 2) and dc the first round instead. The larger sizes have some slouch – for more or less slouchiness, just add or omit some of the rows that are worked evenly. The pom poms are fun, but completely optional! (Click photo to enlarge)
